Supreme Leader Reiterates Iran’s Opposition to Nuclear Weapons
Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei underlined Iran's firm and steadfast opposition to the possession, production and use of the nuclear weapons, and stressed that Tehran doesn’t
pursue such weapons, not for the US pressures, but because they contradict with the religious rules.
"We don’t accept nuclear weapons, not for the sake of the US or others, but because of our beliefs, and when we say that no one should have nuclear weapons, certainly we are not after them either," Imam Khamenei said, addressing high-ranking commanders and veterans of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) in Tehran on Tuesday.
