Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei underlined Iran's firm and steadfast opposition to the possession, production and use of the nuclear weapons, and stressed that Tehran doesn’t

pursue such weapons, not for the US pressures, but because they contradict with the religious rules.

"We don’t accept nuclear weapons, not for the sake of the US or others, but because of our beliefs, and when we say that no one should have nuclear weapons, certainly we are not after them either," Imam Khamenei said, addressing high-ranking commanders and veterans of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) in Tehran on Tuesday.

Almost half of the armed groups forces fighting against the Syrian government are hardliners or extremists with al-Qaeda links, according to a new study due to be published this week.

Split into around 1,000 fragmented cells, the Syrian opposition consists of at least 10,000 fighters who are extremists with strong links to al-Qaeda, while another 35,000 are hardliners, according to analysis by defense consultancy IHS Jane's.
The difference between extremists and hardliners, the Telegraph reports is that the latter concentrates only on the Syria, while extremists groups have a global outreach. A further 30,000 opposition fighters belong to more moderate groups that have a so-called Islamic character.

Iranian nuclear scientist assassinated

Leader of the Islamic Revolution Imam Seyyed Ali Khamenei has condemned the US and Zionist regime’s spy agencies, CIA and Mossad, for the recent assassination of an Iranian nuclear scientist.
On January 11, an unknown motorcyclist attached a magnetic bomb to the scientist’s car near a college building of Allameh Tabatabaei University in Tehran. Ahmadi Roshan was immediately killed and his driver, who had sustained injuries, died a few hours later in hospital.
Ahmadi Roshan, a Sharif University of Technology chemical engineering graduate and the deputy director of marketing at Iran’s Natanz nuclear facility, was killed immediately and his driver, who had sustained injures, passed away a few hours later in hospital.
The latest terrorist attack comes as Iran has reached an agreement with the P5+1 — Britain, China, France, Russia, and the United States plus Germany — to hold negotiations in Turkey.
The US, Zionist regime and their allies baselessly accuse Iran of pursuing a military nuclear program and have used this allegation as a pretext to sway the UNSC to impose four rounds of sanctions on Iran.
Based on these accusations, they have also repeatedly threatened Tehran with the "option" of a military strike.
This is while in November 2011, some of the US presidential hopefuls called for conducting covert operations ranging from assassinating Iranian nuclear scientists to launching a military strike on Iran as well as sabotaging Tehran’s nuclear program.

 

The calls for assassinations are not idle threats as a number of Iranian scientists have been assassinated over the past few years. Professor Majid Shahriari and Professor Masoud Ali-Mohammadi are among the victims of these acts of terror.
On November 29, 2010, Shahriari and Fereydoun Abbasi were targeted by terrorist attacks; Shahriari was killed immediately and Dr. Abbasi, the current director of Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization, only sustained injuries.
Iran says as the UN Resolution 1747, adopted against Tehran in March 2007, cited Abbasi’s name as a "nuclear scientist," the perpetrators were in a position to trace their victim.
According to reports, Ahmadi Roshan had recently met International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) inspectors, a fact which indicates that the IAEA has leaked information about Iran’s nuclear facilities and scientists.

In an Islamic society, men and women enjoy sufficient freedom. Islamic works which exist in this regard and the equal social duties which Islam has assigned to men and women bear testimony to this fact. Prophet Muhammad (s.w.a) said: “One who spends a night without caring about the affairs of Muslims is not a Muslim.” What the Holy Prophet (s.w.a) said is not limited to men only. Women should also feel responsible towards the affairs of Muslims, the Islamic society, the world of Islam, and everything that happens in the world. This is an Islamic duty. Hazrat Fatimah (s.a) was present in all the events which happened in Medina – which was the center of all political and social events of that time – after the Holy Prophet (s.w.a) immigrated from Mecca to Medina. This is a model for women to follow and is indicative of the role of women in an Islamic system.
According to an ayah 35 in Sura Al-Ahzab, men and women are equal in regard to being faithful, obeying God, being humble and truthful, fasting, being patient, guarding their morality, and remembering God. Women’s activities in society are completely appropriate and acceptable. They should be active in society by observing Islamic limits. Women constitute half of society’s work force. When both men and women are educated, the number of society’s educated people will be doubled compared to when only men are educated. When women are also involved in teaching professions, the number of teachers will be doubled in society. There is no difference between men and women with regard to construction and economic activities and in planning the affairs of a country, city, village, group, or family. Everyone is responsible and should play a role in these fields.

IRGC Commander: US War in Syria to Result in Imminent Collapse of Israel

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Tasnim on Wednesday evening, the IRGC commander pointed to the recent US war rhetoric against Syria, and stated that Washington and its allies have resorted to “direct military threat” against Damascus after the Syrian nation defeated their “proxy war scenario”.

He warned the US about severe consequences of a possible military intervention in Syria, and stated, “Despite their bitter experiences in Iraq and Afghanistan, Americans will complete their consecutive failures and experience the most shameful historic defeat if they conduct military action against Syria.”

“And” Jafari underlined “Syria will turn into a more dangerous and deadly battlefield than Vietnam War, and, in fact, Syria will become the second Vietnam for the US.”

The commander further deplored the recent allegations raised against Syria about the use of chemical weapons by the Syrian government, and stated that the US has started war rhetoric against Damascus under the pressure of pro-Zionist lobbies.

He said the Zionists should know that military attack on Syria will not save the fake regime but will mean “imminent destruction of Israel.”

The Iranian commander further cautioned certain regional and Arab countries that their support for the military intervention will cost them dearly.

The IRGC commander’s remarks came after Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei underlined that military intervention in Syria will be harmful to the US, and noted that meddling of trans-regional countries in the region will only result in more antipathy towards them.

“If such a move (possible attack on Syria) takes place, the Americans will surely suffer losses just like what they underwent in Iraq and Afghanistan,” Ayatollah Khamenei said on Wednesday, addressing Iranian cabinet members here in Tehran.

The Leader also described the US possible military intervention in Syria as “a disaster for the region,” adding, ”Trans-regional and foreign powers’ intervention in a country will result in nothing but igniting fire, and will also increase the nations’ aversion to them (meddling countries).”

“Such fire is like a spark in a powder keg, whose aftermath and ramification will be unclear,” Ayatollah Khamenei pointed out.

“The region is passing through sensitive and critical days,” the Leader cautioned.

The remarks by Ayatollah Khamenei came while the US and some of its western allies have announced their readiness to hit Syria, on the pretext of suspected chemical attack by the Syrian government.

Earlier, Syrian President Bashar al-Assad dismissed western allegations that he used chemical weapons as politically motivated and warned Washington any US military intervention would fail.

"Failure awaits the United States as in all previous wars it has unleashed, starting with Vietnam and up to the present day," he said on Monday.

Assad also said Syrian government forces had been close to where rebel forces say chemical weapons were used last week. "Would any state use chemical or any other weapons of mass destruction in a place where its own forces are concentrated? That would go against elementary logic," Assad stated.

 و این البته همه آن چیزی نیست که در مورد او گفته می‌شود. روزنامه انگلیسی گاردین در مورد قاسم سلیمانی می‌نویسد: «حتی کسانی که سلیمانی را دوست ندارند، او را فردی با هوش می‌دانند. بسیاری از مقامات امریکا که این چند ساله را صرف متوقف کردن سلیمانی کرده‌اند، می‌گویند مایل هستند او را ببینند و معتقدند که مبهوت کارهای او شده‌اند».
 شاید از سر همین بهت است که یکی از مقامات بلندپایه ارتش امریکا عاجزانه می‌گوید: «من اگر او را ببینم، خیلی ساده از او خواهم پرسید که از ما چه می‌خواهد؟»
