The capture of Shahid Tindgoyan by Baath forces
Mohammad Javad Tondgooyan was born in 1950 in Tehran. Having graduated from education, he entered political struggles and with victory of the Islamic Revolution he was appointed the Minister of Oil for Martyr Rajai’s administration. Less than two months later, he and some officials of Iranian Oil Ministry were captured by invader Baathist forces during a visit to oil industry in Southern Iran. Martyr Tondgooyan suffered the cruelest tortures of Iraqi hirelings till he achieved the grace of martyrdom. Eventually after 11 years, his body was sent back to Iran in the late 1991 and buried at Behest Zahra Cemetery .
