Supreme Leader: Perseverance, unity two major messages of Feb 11 rallies in Iran
Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei said the two major messages of the massive participation of nation in rallies on Feb 11 marking the victory anniversary of the Islamic Revolution in 1979 is perseverance and unity
The Supreme Leader made the remarks here Monday morning in a meeting with a large number of people from the northwestern province of East Azarbaijan on the occasion of the anniversary of their uprising against the toppled Shah in 1978.
He said the nation demonstrated more enthusiastic and intense participation in the Feb 11 rallies to give a firm answer to the illogical attitude and rude behavior of American officials to tell them that the Iranian people will not yield to their bullying and ransom-seeking demands.
The Supreme Leader referred to bloody wars staged by the US and its shedding of blood of defenseless human beings, support for oppressive dictators in different parts of world and for international terrorism especially the state terrorism as sponsored by the occupying and criminal Zionist regime, attack on Iraq and killing of tens of thousands of people there, attack on Afghanistan, setting up of man-haunting companies such as Black Water and engineering of extremist Takfiri groups as just some examples in the dark record of the US administration.
Ayatollah Khamenei said how it could it be possible to change such a dark record of crimes under disguise.
Pointing to the history of the hostile attitudes of the American administration towaeds the Iranian nation, the Supreme Leader stressed that Iranians have always been exposed to the plots, treasons and sanctions of the US administration, the latest of which being their support for sedition of 2008.
These are only parts of US malpractice in dealing with the Iranian nation, said the Supreme Leader.
On nuclear negotiations, the Supreme Leader said he did not object to such negotiations but is not optimistic about their results.
ˈThe reason for my suspicion is now revealed and that is the recent baseless allegations raised by US senators and officials against the Iranian people,ˈ said Ayatollah Khamenei.
There is no doubt that the Iranian nation during this yearˈs rallies gave a crushing response to US officials, said the Supreme Leader.
The insults made by the American officials encourage the Iranian people to give a crushing response to them and warn them that they should avoid any miscalculation in dealing with Iranian nation, said the Supreme Leader.
The nation’s message in this year’s rally was that the Iranian people are determined to resist and the country’s officials should not feel any weakness in dealing with the enemies, said Ayatollah Khamenei.
Should the nuclear dossier be resolved, the Americans would resort to other issues such as human rights and Iran’s missile capabilities, underlined the Supreme Leader.
The Americans should be ashamed of themselves as they explicitly violate human rights around the globe, said the Supreme Leader.
Ayatollah Khamenei also approved of the performance of the Iranian Foreign Ministry and said the officials will go ahead with the negotiations, adding that Iran will never violate its deal (with world powers) but all should bear in minds that the hostility of the US to the Islamic Revolution and Islam will never end.
The only way to deal with the US threats is to rely on national solidarity and nationˈs might, Ayatollah Khamenei reiterated.
ˈAll are witnessing that world countries are racing towards the Iranian market and this proves that the Americans cannot insist on their demands and if we only rely on our power, their resistance will be shattered,ˈ the Supreme Leader said.
The Iranian people will emerge victorious their struggle with the global arrogance, the Supreme Leader vowed.
